Youarrive at your hotel (Let’s say the Grand Floridian Resort just forfun), unpack your bags and call your friends who happen to bestaying at the Boardwalk Inn. You decide you want to meet fordinner at the Flying Fish café… but you don’t have a car, and youhave no idea how to get to the Boardwalk from the Grand Floridian.You whip out your iPhone and the WDW Transportation Wizard comes toyour rescue; promptly suggesting several routes involving boats,buses, or monorails. He even tells you how long it’s likely to takeso you won’t be late for dinner. Thank you Mr Wizard!Or, perhaps you are a veteran of Disneyworld and love planningdaily itineraries. You plan your trip, making a careful schedule ofwhere to eat and which parks to go to when. You decide that a funday at Disney’s Hollywood Studios would really be nicely topped offby dinner at Chefs de France. But how long is it going to take toget there, and what is the funnest possible route (this is avacation after all!)? You pop out your iPhone and fire up the OLPWDW Transportation Wizard who gives you several recommendations. Ohmy gawrsh, I didn’t know you could take a boat from the Studios toEpcot! That sounds like fun! But I will have to allow at least 37minutes for that trip so we better leave by 5PM to make sure we arein time for dinner at 6PM. The wildly popular TWiz App just got a wholelot better with the release of GPS TWiz. Now you can navigate theDisney transportation system at Walt Disney World using a familiarand intuitive map-based GPS interface. You can view your location,use pinch/zoom or double-tap gestures to zoom in and out, andselect beginning and ending locations for your trip from the map inaddition to the list.Are you boggled by maps and prefer to just search for words? Onthe super duper GPS TWiz, you can search for locations using aconvenient search bar. Tap "START" or "FINISH" to select anendpoint by the name of the location, then you can search the listof locations by typing text in the search field at the top. Forexample, type "art" to find Disney's Art of Animation Resort - it'sjust that easy. sGPS Twiz puts the fun in functionality! Simply pick a startinglocation (where you are) and then pick the place you want to getto. Mr. Wizard will promptly make fun suggestions about how to getthere using Transportation. Mr. Wizard also estimates how long itwill take to get there. By tapping on the route, you get lots ofhelpful tips about the transportation system and you can share yourexperience of times and tips with other users. Picture this: you are on the subway, riding towork on a dreary day in the city. Your mind is filled with thoughtsof your trip to Walt Disney World and you begin to think aboutwhere you will be sleeping on property. You pull out your trustyAndroid device and open up your WDW Resort Researcher that youdownloaded last night. As you rumble along on the subway you areimmersed in your own personal research project, looking at thevarious resorts for member ratings and reviews, pictures, floorplans and cost calculations. Your imagination is working overtime…Wouldn’t it be fun to stay at the Grand Floridian Resort and Spanext time? I wonder what people are saying about it. Oh look, 5stars and 19 reviews. Lets find out more! Ooh, I have alwaysdreamed of living in a world of grace and charm. Wow, 90 pictures!Lets check those out. I wonder how much it would cost to staythere.. lets see… tap the calculator icon. I think we’ll be stayingfrom April 7th for 3 nights, tap the Select Room button. 1 BedroomRoyal Palm Club, that sounds nice, how much would that be? $4395?Wow, I guess we’ll need to save up some money or win the lotteryfor that one:p I think I'll send that one to the wife and see whatshe thinks about that room! A swipe or the back button will get you back to thesummary button.-) Tapping on the calculator icon will allow you to calculate thecost, based on standard rack rates, of a stay at Disney world for agiven start date, number of nights, and room which you can select.Base rate not including any additional fees or taxes. Rates subjectto change without notice. Swan and Dolphin rates are notavailable.-) Map button brings up dynamic Google Map of Walt Disney World,tapping on resort location takes you to summary page.-) Tap on map pin icon and see location of current resort.-) View current reviews on resort summary page.-) Selecting stars icon will take you to a form where you can shareyour own rating and review of the resort.
